Why I’m Buying A Nokia Lumia 920 Instead of the iPhone 5 | Pocketnow

(from the author) "The important thing is what my choice says about each of these respective companies -Nokia and Apple- and the platforms they represent: Windows Phone and iOS."

Nah. The important thing is that what the author thinks isn't mirrored by literally tens of millions of phone buyers who just want something that works, don't want to tinker too much with it if at all*, and even have faith that eventually some new cool stuff that others come up with like maybe widgets and NFC and wireless charging that the author eulogises about will eventually appear, if they turn out to be any good. Widgets I'd vote for, NFC and wireless charging get a "Meh" from me.

* IMO there is some pretty basic functionality missing on iPhone but when I explain to both techy and non techy users why I jailbroke mine to fix it I just get bemused stares - "Huh? you did that just so you could save a couple clicks on SMS or switching off Bluetooth? "
