But I’m guessing even Apple lovers will notice sooner or later.

It would seem not. As I've posted before, I got an iPhone recently (work phone so free so I thought I'd try IOS for a change after my POS Android) and I jailbroke it within two days to rectify what I thought were some glaring inadequacies I couldn't live with, some of which were pointed out in that article, others which weren't.

However, just about everyone I have mentioned this to, all iPhone users, really couldn't be bothered and were not at all fussed by what I thought were key useability features that were lacking. So, the author of that article, and me, and most of the folks here trumpeting about this feature and that feature are in a very small minority.

Fact is, the majority don't give a s**t about this stuff. Much of its irrelevant anyway; not enough NFC out there, "wireless" charging still requires cables and is more awkward than wired in many situations, not everyone wants a huge phone, and even the ones that I think are relevant, actual real users and not geeks, Do Not Actually Care One Jot About.

They should send Elop to swim with the fishes or to Mars and then Nokia could make the no-brainer step of releasing Lumias with Android. Why cut off 75% of your target market for what would be a very small investment?
