Doc....been watching you guys go around trying to explain Checkfree's business model to the 'new commers'....along with the potential for that model in the E-Market place.

Last I recall we were talking Corillian.....which had been putting on some Banks of it's own.....but from this news it looks that they are going to push Checkfrees Bill Payment Solution.....

From what I know Corillian was a company formed by previous Checkfree Employees.....but would like some insight from the Hard Core Holders......on this 'Corillaion conection'

Corillian Certified to Provide CheckFree Electronic Bill Payment Remittance Option

BEAVERTON, Ore.--Today Corillian Corporation, the end-to-end Internet banking solution provider, announces completion of a certification process that will allow Corillian to offer financial institutions the ability to provide seamless processing of electronically initiated bill payments through CheckFree Corporation (NASDAQ: CKFR).

"This certification expands our end-to-end product solution by offering the financial institution products that are integrated with CheckFree's electronic payment processing," said Dave Williams, Chief Technology Officer of Corillian Corporation. "This agreement allows our clients to offer their customers a leading bill payment option."

Corillian products facilitate the financial institution to be an online financial service provider. Corillian's products include the Voyager and MoneyPAD(TM) product lines, both having structures that are built on the Microsoft NT operating system and are based on the Open Financial Exchange (OFX) data specification. The Voyager and MoneyPAD platforms are designed to support the CheckFree distribution payment channel, standard Web banking interfaces displaying HTML, and Personal Financial Management (PFM) products such as Microsoft Money and Intuit Quicken.

"The certification of Corillian continues to expand the financial electronic solutions available to financial institutions across the country." said Ken Benvenuto, Executive Vice President and General Manager of CheckFree Retail Financial Services. "Access to CheckFree's high-quality, low cost processing infrastructure is an important component to any electronic banking, and payment offering, and today Corillian is joining the ranks of providers with that access."

The MoneyPAD product line extends OFX functionality with MoneyPAD Personal Banker, MoneyPAD Server and MoneyPAD Designer. MoneyPAD Personal Banker is the first occurrence of a Personal Financial Appliance (PFA) which handles Internet delivered transactions. The PFA has multi-point data acquisition capability allowing users to consolidate, organize, and analyze all their financial and transaction information in one place. MoneyPAD Server extends the transaction functionality, advertisement stream, and branding within the MoneyPAD Personal Banker. MoneyPAD Designer is the tool that enables the institution to not only create a unique interface design but also allows execution of distinct transaction components for various customer segments. Together, MoneyPAD empowers financial institutions with components to control their Internet banking environment.

Founded in 1981, CheckFree Corporation (http://www.checkfree.com) is the leading provider of electronic commerce services, software and related products for over 2 million consumers, 1,000 businesses, and 850 financial institutions. CheckFree designs, develops, and markets services that enable its customers to make electronic payments and collections, automate paper-based recurring financial transactions, and conduct secure transactions on the Internet.

Based in Beaverton, Oregon, Corillian is an innovative developer and integrator of products that support real-time transactional banking for financial institutions. Systems are built on the Microsoft Windows NT operating system and use the latest Microsoft communications technology, Distributed COM (DCOM). The platform architecture is interfaceable with multiple hosts and multiple data centers as the system employs Rumba(R) OBJECTX, the ActiveX controls developed by Wall Data, for its universal connectivity suite.
