Only now read your full message.
The firebombing of Dresden was a terrible war crime.

As a matter of fact none of the allies admitted to being responsible for it until the British finally did so in 1954.

It was indeed very much like Hiroshima - just longer lasting, kind of Hiroshima in slow motion.

Probably the only book worth reading by David Irving, that is before he totally flipped out to the right extreme side, is 'The Destruction of Dresden'. Since it seems like you have roots in Germany, you may want to read it.

Real terrible stuff.

Of course you know who gave the 'go ahead!' for the mission, right?
That was Harris, also called 'Bomber Harris'.

Funny, this takes us back to when we first met on Internet, so how can you complain about no complaints about fire bombing?
