Rosemary,

CPQ is loosing marketshare in the subzero market. Last quarter they had close to 70% of the market in the subzero segment because BELL and others could not get enough product built.

Last month they were down to about 45% marketshare. I would expect that to drop to 25-30 % in November because HWP, IBM and BELL now have the capacity to deliver the product to the stores.

I agree with your assessment of BELL's quality issues. Perhaps, they have corrected them. Who knows? Word is that BELL is doing well this quarter. But the HWP offering is very strong and they do not have a quality problem.

IBM may be selling their subzero through the Tandy stores. I have not seen them in the retail stores I have been in recently.

As I mentioned earlier, these stores seem to be carrying no-name computers that are competitive in price and features with name brand companies.

The retail channel may end up stuffed with subzeros after Christmas.
