I'd like to know when the "Shitballs McGee" is being launched, that sounds more intriguing and perhaps also gives some idea of the validity of this poll. Presumably if it follows the trend of current Androids, it will be 3ft x5ft in size and come with a trolley accessory.
Being serious for a moment, Wired is the demographic that iPhone purchasers aren't. They are the people, like the people here and on the Nokia threads who care about the differences in specs, heck who even *know* about the differences in spec. IPhone purchasers probably don't even know what Wired magazine is about, if asked 97% would probably say its something to do with the building industry.
The masses don't know this stuff. As I posted recently, even colleagues of mine in the technology industry, let alone friends who are in non tech jobs, were mystified by my jail breaking my iPhone to add what are indisputably missing functions, indeed most had never even heard the term and none seemed bothered about the limited texting functions or inability to quickly switch off and on wifi and Bluetooth.
What you'd need to break Apples hold is not spec related. Maybe some super duper new feature not yet invented, maybe just a change in the zeitgeist as seems to be happening to Facebook.
It's not specs, It's not price, it's not a 4.5 instead of a 4.3 screen, heck it's not even a replaceable battery or SD card. If Apple can sell 100 MILLION phones without these basics, why does anyone here think wireless charging or bump to transfer files will make a difference? |
