Yes; borrow from us, or borrow from China. Seem like a no brainer. I hope they were investing in some very long Zeros back in the early 80's. 4.4%...better than I'm getting in my 401K, my IRA,or my savings account.

There's an art to making money by borrowing and loaning it out for a profit. I'd teach it to you, but I don't want the competition.

"By the way, the current beneficiaries are getting much more than they put in, even when interest is accounted for. That's because they were never expected to live as long as they are now."

Except for the ones who drop dead the day before they retire. They expected to live a lot longer, and their funds stay in the pot"forever".

"The year when that is expected to occur is now 2033,"

Yawn. I'm less than a little worried. I posted an article that shows we buy 75 years of solvency by doing nothing more than taking off the cap on earnings. It's so EZ, once we get the Republicants out of the way. There's a ot of revenue to be raised in the gap between ?$108K and 4B.
