I figured out the average 30 year bond yield over my 48 years of inputting into SS was around 8%. Figuring in drip reinvesting by now i should have well over $2,000,000 in my share of the pot.

As I near 66, my annual SS statements show a declining benefit amount. In the last 3 years I've gone down fro n $2,250/mo to $2,040 a month at 66.

By the time I hit 66 in 2015 I'll likely be down to $1,900.

looks to me like Uncle got over big time on me.
