Investor-ex, I'm interested to know who or what source would you find more credible on the potential growth of Internet Commerce than Cisco's CEO? I would also be interested in knowing who would give you a clearer picture of the "industry forest" in microprossesor's than Andrew Grove? And lastly what source of information better understands the software industry than Bill Gate's?

The fact that Microsoft moved so fast into the Internet realm shows how clearly Bill Gates recognized the potential of the Internet. I'm curious what industry forcast did you read which saw this upheaval before Microsoft started responding? Most people at the time still thought the Internet was an oddity, and the Browser posed no threat to Microsoft.

It wasn't until 6 months or so later that the press recognized the importance of what Bill Gates was trying to do and why, and through 20/20 hindsight started infuring that he missed the boat. The fact is he didn't miss the boat, and probably within the next 5 years Netscape will be fighting for it's very life, much like Corel is today.

Theroticians and Economists always have the answers after the fact. None can beat the performance of these three CEO's consistently.
If they did they would have invented the Server, the OS and the microprossesor themselves.

I believe it's important when weaving through the information heaped upon us, to separate CEO's in industries who have true vision, and proven performance over time, from those who have none.
