My Technique??? I prefer not to, because it always generates a long debate and I am getting tired of defending it. But to make it simple. I follow 10-20 very active moving stocks for a very long period of time and try to learn how these stocks will react to various news events like earnings reports and turns in the overall market. I have tried to show my technique to many others and have been told my style is too intuitive to be taught. So I don't bother any longer. My biggest concern today, is too many people with very little understanding of the market are trying day trading and lossing badly.. Since the market has been going nearly straight up for the last 17 years, it is really hard to determine a portfolio managers ability in handling a flat or bear market. So all I can say is be careful...
