allow the business cycles to return...down cycles play an important role in the clearing and deleveraging of market excesses that happen during up cycles Your life must revolve around the DC beltway in some big government utopia or you've got some safe high power career unaffected by the ups and downs the past decade. In my world we cleared out, deleveraged, took out the weak in rapid fashion the past five years. Yeah I guess a few still live in their houses for free which would be your 'socialism' but most with skin in the game during the gogo years wished they had cashed in their chips before the collapse..
