AURCANA (AUN.V ~ AUNFF)- Break-out imminent 9/20/12 When making technical analysis, one does not take in account the fundamentals at all like news from the company or the underlying price of silver etc. So, while TA is not something that should be considered "written in stone", we often use it as one of many tools. It's a good indication that a break-out is getting close when the upper and lower Bollinger bands are closing in on eachother. By the looks of things, this could happen any day or at least within a week or so. RSI is at neutral levels (53.39) which gives us plenty of room to have a strong move. We can also see how the RSI has been trending steady and nicely upwards since its bottom in May. This combined with both the MA50 and the MA200 trending up and also not being too far behind the stock price, makes us think we are setting up for the next big leg up here. We can't ignore the fundamentals for the company looking extremely good and we think there are no other silver company out there with a stronger story right now. We would like to see some news in the next week to act as a trigger, that would most likely take us to the 1.30-1.50 area in short order. We have added quite aggressively in Aurcana in this past week and to say that our portfolio is overweighted in AUN is an understatement. Therefore, if the technicals proves us right, we will also be sellers on the way up.
