By the election, it should be clear that Romney is going to lose. He'll convince even more people he's a phony during the debates. Without teleprompters, Obama is going to be a walking talking faux pas. Add Biden to the equation and the debates are going to be an absolute comedy. Romney is certainly nowhere near as charismatic as Obama when he has the teleprompters, but debating straight up they are about equal. Biden vs Ryan will be a bloodbath. Even you know that. GWB wasn't a great president. He gave in far too many times to the leftist progressives. Certainly TARP will forever be a black mark on his record. But he inherited an economy that was in freefall and then he inherited a foreign policy that brought 9/11 just months into his term. And he still turned the economy around until the democrats got control of the house and senate. As far as Iraq and Afghanistan...well, I guess you have to believe that Afghanistan was justified. But you consider Iraq unjustified, correct? I'm on the fence about Iraq. I know why we were there and strategically it wasn't a bad plan. Was it justified? tough call. Saddam claimed to have WMDs. In fact he had used them before on his own people. So it wasn't a stretch to think that he had them. There's also a pretty good chance that he didn't have them and only said that he did as a deterrent to Iran. But Syria is spouting off that they have WMDs now and it is speculated that they came from Iraq. And God knows that the U.N. gave saddam plenty of time to get whatever he might have out of the country and into Syria. GWB was far from the worst president of the century (or the 20th century either). I think that history will be kind to GWB. Obama on the other hand will forever be an embarrassment to this country.
