Hi sandie, I would like an opinion on this one from our good doctor on the thread. He has in the past provided great insight on such issues. My opinion though is the govt. is only in the form of a referee in this game and they have adopted a stand to only provide and enforce certain guidelines to ensure uncontaminated food and create more awareness. They will not promote any technology in particular as that may lead to sparks and debates from various lobbys. They want to play safe on this one as it can derail promotions for a lot of political leaders. So they will allow the food industry to make their own decision and i think that is very fair too. The end result of this will be better because they ultimately will see what the consumer advocates have to say and the scale will tilt in the favor of the consumer whether it is irradiation, pulse technology or ozone. regards Sri.
