These four groups have each been holding guns to Romney’s temple. He’s a weak man, yes. But in a way—in only this one particular way—I feel a little sorry for him. These groups permit no room to maneuver whatsoever. None. Not an inch. So when something happens that is in their wheelhouse, the expectation immediately arises that Romney will utter every syllable precisely as they want to hear it.

He's weak only in that he doesn't believe in who he is. As annoying and whiny as Ann's comments were, it is hard for Mitt..........very hard. He has no inner compass to guide him. So he's kind of lost.......what he does know is that he wants to be president in the worst way.

But things aren't all that different for Obama either. The Dems are riddled with factions as well..........the wharfies who call him a Republican; the yellow dog Dems who think he's too socialistic; the moderate, fiscal Dems who think he gets too radical on social issues like gay marriage and should spent more time on the budget, and the doves who call him a hawk. The difference between Obama and Mitt...........Obama has an inner compass.............inner conviction. That's why all the complaints fall off of him.........if not sooner eventually.
