Michael -

I wonder if you or anyone could confirm something for me. I'm sure I have seen an advertisement for SparQ which states that the drive doesn't come with a disk, and that disks are sold separately.

Since I have not yet seen SparQ in any local stores (NYC), I called MicroWarehouse this evening. They have an ad for SparQ in their latest catalog. I was told that they had no drives in stock, but they were expecting them in two weeks. The woman I spoke to said that their computer did not say whether the drive included a disk or not, and even after checking around she couldn't tell me.

OK, wait. I just checked the SyQuest web site. Of course, the SparQ does ship with a starter disk. I knew it didn't make sense otherwise.
