RE: "and cable modems and satellite communications may prove more cost effective and topologically feasbile."

I'm waiting for the satellite modems (maybe I'm dreaming). Currently, DirecPC offers one-half of the technology. Downloads are beamed from satellite to your roof-mounted receiver and PC. However, uploads and outgoing messages must still be routed to your ISP via modem.

When will true satellite communications be available for PC and what company will benefit the most?

Best wishes,
