Yes it should obvious to all that the PC business is becoming a commodity business just like DRAM , disk drives etc.
The same competitive forces are now affecting the PC business .
IBM and HP are not happy being passed by Dell and Compaq will fight tooth and nail in the pricing of PCs and in adopting Dell's methods
of marketing and manufacturing . The end result lower prices and lower profit margins , Brian
