Hank, when SEA dragged the market down, this thread kept saying
that is not a problem to DELL. Later when PC growth in SEA is still
looking good, I believe someone here posted that as GOOD NEWS for
dell.

Dell is a WIN/WIN/WIN company, good news is great news, bad news is
no news. DELL can defy gravity. With ASP declining at least 30-50%,
DELL/CPQ can scoop up all others market share who couldn't take
the price-drop, as TOSHIBA did. The problem I have with this
scenario is that the market share being picked up is not sufficient
to compensate the ASP-drop, unless the unit grouwth can make it up.

Even HWP has a respectable PC "166mz mmx pentium ... WITH MONITOR".
These are very good machines selling 2300+ last year. I have to
sympathize the 'component makers', they must be making zero profit
for DELL/CPQ to be so rich, life isn't fair, is it.
