Interesting bit of news. Note the reference to "joint ventures." Jean HOLBROOK, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 24, 1997--Egan Systems Inc. (OTC BB:EGNS - news) announced Monday that they have hired IBM sales pro Thomas Bianco to bring Egan's new products to the IBM market. Bianco will also expand company's Data General sales campaign and use his industry network to find suitable acquisition targets and joint venture opportunities. ... Bianco went on to assist in the formation of Biometric Access Corp. in Austin, Texas, where people were brought out of IBM Research to build low cost Fingerprint Readers. In 1997, Bianco formed the sister firm, Biometric Sciences Corp., in Washington, DC, to develop security software and applications with former CIA and Telerate personnel.
