Hi I2,

If you bring up your communications ratio on your pc you will find anywhere from a 4:1 to 10:1 ratio of communications - incoming vs outgoing. Therefore, getting one-way satellite communcations solves over 80-90% of the problem of speed... I know I limit my dowloads because of speed, but with 500 vs 28 - no contest! I would have to buy one of those 6 or 8 gig drives AND doublespace it with a satellite hookup!

The costs are additive, I believe... just having the satellite receiver isn't enough - in fact THEY ARE TWO SEPARATE SIDES TO THE COMPAY AND APPARENTLY DON'T TALK TO EACH OTHER... DirectTV and DirectPC... I got all enthused until I called. Duh!!! What an experience!
