Bill: Agree about the jump in the Dow. What else is new? But the overseas figures are not all solidly up: Korea down 3.6% (under the 400 level), Thailand down 2%, and Taiwan down 5%. I guess the market is telling us that only Japan and HK are important to the US and Europe, and that Asian markets are not all mutually dependent. Simplistic thinking, manipulation, or are they smarter than I am? Jack
