I've been taken out twice by boarders, and was rendered unconscious from the impact on one of those hits. My husband was taken out once by a boarder who came screaming out of the woods just as he was passing. He ended up on the ground, but immediately got up, chased the guy all the way to the lift and reported him.

I would move to the Alta area in a heartbeat to get away from boarders. They are out of control, go too fast, are rude, sit in front of lift lines to fiddle with their equipment blocking access to the chairs, and are generally reckless.

I'm sorry boards were invented.
