All the peak oilers know, and they've been crunching numbers about what it takes. Things like how long it will take to replace the 250 million vehicles in the country just to double mileage, let alone make everything electric.

Tom Murphy has crunched lots of numbers, as have others. We don't even know if we can extract the raw resources like rare earths fast enuf. siliconinvestor.com

Some people say we need a Manhattan Project. We really need an entire WW 2 project.Here's what we're up against.



Also, we can still cut consumption by something like 1/3 with conservation/efficiency measures like isulation.
