American Entertainment Appoints New High-Calibre Professionals to Team

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1997-- American Entertainment Group Inc. (AETG) has contracted a team of experienced industry professionals to head up the distribution, syndication and sales of its newly expanded collection of 14,000 classic movies and television series.
American Entertainment is proud to announce the addition of Michael Spivak, Linda A. McMann, Brian Lacey and Robert Sher to its team as the company advances toward its aim of providing content and information to the entertainment, merchandising and telecommunications industries.
Michael Spivak has 40 years experience in the Canadian and international television industry and has been successful in a variety of areas including: production, distribution and as a senior network executive. As President and creator of Jaylar Productions Ltd., Spivak distributed such series as The Highlander and Scoop across Canada. He also executive produced an award-winning movie-of-the-week for CBS -- a rare achievement for a Canadian independent producer. Spivak was also Vice President of Production and Business Affairs for Global Television for nine years.
Linda A. McMann has managed her own full-service marketing and television syndication company, McM Communications Inc. for close to 10 years. She has successfully launched a variety of series including a preschool children's series that appeared on PBS stations in the U.S. and in 20 foreign countries. McMann also served as Vice President/West Coast Manager for Blair Entertainment. She acted as national "troubleshooter" for the company, and was responsible for all west coast sales and marketing activities.
Brian Lacey is the founder and principal of Lacey Entertainment, a New York-based worldwide television distribution, packaging and marketing consultancy. Lacey founded his own company after more than 10 years experience in domestic and international television marketing, production and distribution. As President and General Manager of World Events Productions in the mid-80s, Lacey helped launch an action-adventure kids series that became one of the most successful merchandise licensed properties of the decade.
Robert Sher has been consulting to the Broadcasting and Production industry in the areas of contract negotiation and marketing since 1971. From 1977 to 1993 he was President of Motion Picture Video Corp. (MPV), an innovative post-production corporation that was the first in North America to introduce the Flying Spot Scanner as well as the first totally computerized editing assembly plant. MPV's client list included commercial production companies and many Hollywood-based long-format producers.
These individuals join Andrew Spitzer as consultants to AETG and its subsidiary Faces of Hollywood Inc. They bring considerable talent and experience to the job of developing, marketing and syndicating of the Company's extensive film and television library. Specifically, overseas distribution of Music & Effects Tracks (Michael Spivak), syndication of Faces of Hollywood's film and television library (Linda McMann), overseas sales (Brian Lacey) and the ancillary sales of audio classic movies (ACM's) and videos (Robert Sher).
