Any guesses, wild or otherwise, on how many 6500s Apple will sell,
especially since they are being spiffed up at CompUSA, Circuit City, etc.?
Speaking of Circuit City, I was in one Sunday evening in Concord, California. They have a nice, recently rennovated store with a lot of room for computers. The MAC's were at the back end of the section and not viewable by anyone walking in. I had to ask a clerk where they were.
Subsequently, I asked to see the G3's and got a very blank stare. The clerk new nothing about MAC's or Apple. The store had one PM 6500 on display and that was it. The clerk thought it was Apple's best offering.
Perhaps this is as much as I should expect from a major retailer because Apple wants to sell the G3's on its own, but oh well,
