Thanks for your insight! I rec'd your post as you made some excellent points.

I can't count the times I've come over a drop to find a couple of boarders whiling away their time enjoying the view. I've had to radically alter my trajectory, which puts me in a dangerous position.

There is a terrain park on the hill where I ski that is a particular favorite of boarders. In order to use the park you have to sit through a short 10 minute safety video. I think every ski area should require boarders (and possibly skiers) to sit through one of these films. I also think they should have specific rules...............such as no blocking access to lifts, and stopping on the other side of drops...........that are seriously enforced.

I do not remember ever having to deal with these dangerous kinds of situations before snow boards were invented.
