He went up there a Libertarian but will be converted,

My mother (Smoothsail) and I have a friend who hung out with Ayn Rand and her group of minions back in the 60s. He was the first objectivist/libertarian that I met. I discovered libertarianism totally organically, but it was really cool having it validated by someone else having the same or similar philosophies.

Recently he has been posting on facebook quite a bit on politics. He's gone to the dark side and appears to be a liberal now. What has changed....well, I suspect that it had a lot to do with his wife. Nice lady, comes off as an artsy fartsy liberal, though we have never talked politics.

Though he is in his 60s now, I suspect that he went with the spousal flow and adopted her politics.
