Bill,
that almost sounds cynical.

I guess that maybe if Obama wins in November, that we will have a few executive orders along the lines of limited liability for driverless car developers. Perhaps even some government subsidies. I'm sure that there will be a tie-in to aiding in the fight against global warming.

I think that the driverless vehicle vision looks like a part of a utopian society.

to me, it looks like all of the worst things in a Bladerunner-esque dystopian future.
