I think things will begin to get into trouble in the course of the next presidential term. You have laid out the problem very well. And the conundrum. "Nobody knows" when it will blow up. And nobody knows what to do when it does. Since it is tied up in the banks, can they they get away with it for decades? We are all guessing. If Obama gets re-elected, this will be why. And if it blows up while he is in office, nobody REALLY knows what to do. Me? I will just keep dancing, and hoping my savings and SS will pull me though to the end. Otherwise, I can help build a "cargo cult" plane here on the beach and wait for DC to deliver.
