INDEX UPDATE
-------------------

Just for discussion sake, the HKG and JPN markets were up last night but the the Korean and Taiwan markets were down substantially. Taiwan was down 5%, and Korean has declined 51% so far.

Just before the open noticed that the futures are up, so assuming that the strong downtrends in the Korean/Taiwan markets is not influencing our market that much.

At this point, am getting the feeling that the sentiment on the street is somewhat with the view that the effects of the foreign market on the US markets is declining. My question on a subjective basis, which intrinsicly is much more of long term perspective than my TA, could the foreign markets resurge with such a negative effective on the US that we we may see a similar correction to the recent one or even worse.

Although, I am mainly a technician, would like to hear some subjective views on the impact of specific foreign markets on the U.S.Market.

Since global economics is not my strength, would appreciate comments.
