Jerry Darrin Ruf another towering home-run; Now 8RBIs 2 hrs and BA .333 in about what, 8 days?
Got feel good about that. They seeing Ruf playing first against lefties if Howard goes into one his 0 for 20 against lefties, plus he could win LF position---his spring training will be watched CLOSELY-Amaro has got to be having happy fantasies about Ruf proving the real thing--longterm--keeping in mind no one saw this coming.
i hope Haladay doesn't pick up a baseball for 2 months--just let the sore area completely heal and then start to slowly work your arm back into condition i then think he will be fine---i do NOT think it was COMPLETELY healed before he returned--he ended his season with a sore shoulder.
i hope Phils are talking with Utley what is he doing WRONG to the come to spring training unable to play.
i personally suspect this work-out addict may well be stressing out this bd knee with winter work-outs.
Cloyd was sat down because of arm fatigue--keep in mind he threw a lot of pitches before he came to Philly.
Howard vanished because he accidently dropped weighted work out 'bat' on his toe--small fracture.
He says he very unhappy about his .219 average but he looks at his RBIs and HRs and says, that something to feel good about. He feels , with spring training, that BA will go up.
And lastlly, the Phils AT LEAST made my target of 81 wins--but could end up with 83.
B.J.Rosenberger--i can see why Phils refused to quit on the kid. He got his ERA down to 6 after it was like 15:)
i see a lot of reasons to feel good about next year--we will, i feel be in a battle for division title with the Nats and Atlanta--and will be the best division in Baseball.
So that's my wrap up for Phils 2012. later, Max
