It's like they're almost determined to lose the hold they had on the last group they have aside from people who vote because of abortion and/or glbt issues, or the super rich who want no taxes on themselves.
A bizarre, to me, exchange I read the other day was a decent thing a man posted on FB in terms of Christianity and what we should look for in a leader... the man, a big time scholar, was mostly talking about leaders who don't have a double standard in terms of values, like we torture but they can't, that sort of thing. Some dude, also educated, said he already was inclined to vote against Obama because of abortion but now drones made him really not want to vote for him.
OK, drones? Obama had power over that, but the President has nothing to do with abortion. Nothing. OK, if a person is looking at SC appointments and overturning Roe vs Wade, I suppose.
Just really stunned me. I suppose I should be used to it.
I know there's a lot of talk about working class whites, and especially those in the south. blahblahblahblahblah (had to go 5 to make it odd number). Truth is, imo, neither party has offered much for a long time, and Dems insulted them more. Now Repubs are being a tad too clear in their insults, though. That could be a game changer. |
