Cycomm International Names G.T. Gangemi CEO of Its Rugged Secure and Computing Subsidiaries
Seasoned Secure-Computing Executive and Authority on Computer Security Joins From Wang Labs
MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Cycomm International Inc. (Amex: CYI - news) announced the appointment of G.T. (Don) Gangemi Sr. as chief executive officer of its rugged and secure computing subsidiaries. A seasoned executive, Gangemi managed Wang Laboratories secure computer business and is one of the country's leading experts on computer security.
Formerly vice president of secure systems and product operations for Wang Laboratories, where he worked for more than 25 years, Gangemi was responsible for Wang Federal Inc. product operations and for the growth and profitability of its secure systems product line. He is a nationally recognized expert on computer security, the co-author of a book on computer security and a frequently called upon speaker on this topic. The appointment is effective December 1.

Gangemi was appointed by President Bush to serve on the Computer Systems Security and Privacy Advisory Board, which was formed as a result of the Computer Security Act of 1987. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and has taught courses on computer security at the University of Lowell. He is a co-author of ''Computer Security Basics.''
A graduate of LaSalle College in Philadelphia, Gangemi served in the United States Army for five years. He also attended the Program for Senior Executives in National and International Security at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
