<As an investor, which telcom company do you
think is best to invest for next 6 months /or 2yrs ? TIA!>

BPP,

As a programmer, I love working with BEL (Bell Atlantic); any bad memories people have of the old Bell Atlantic and NYNEX are becoming invalid. As an investor, I'm looking at LCI; they have installed a lot of fiber and have made a couple of good acquisitions over the last year and it's a great stock to hold. There's another company I read about called Digex but I haven't had the time to investigate that one.

On topic, I feel pretty good about Borland, too. They're a contender in a wildly changing business and they've got a fighting chance, I think. There's been some mention of APLX here, but that stock's been taking a hit lately, don't know much about the company. I am a long term holder of BORL stock and I'm not upset with their current plan to "reinvent" themselves.

Take care,
Dave
