As an independent, I watched the debate. Romney won big, showing the ability to connect, effectively advocate and think on his feet. Obama was a bit smug and unable to change course. He misportrayed Romney's tax reform (which is revenue neutral (lower rates, close loopholes and deductions), Obama portrayed it as a deficit) and when Romney told him that was not his plan, Obama repeated his misportrayal. Romney offered job creation (lowering taxes on small businesses)., Obama discussed education as a long term approach to job creation, but nothing to deal with the problem near term.
