Koan, a lot of economists these days are pushing for a resurgence of Keynes. Krugman happens to be one the most well-known, especially since he's a Nobel laureate.

Only problem is that these economists aren't learning from the 1970s, when Keynesian economics last fell out of favor.

I don't know who's the majority or who's the minority in this case, but I'm sure there are many times where you held the minority opinion in certain subjects. Did you back down from what you believed in? Of course not.

As for universal health care, I believe it's inevitable, for better or for worse. SS and Medicare can indeed be fixed, but any attempt to fix it is met with the usual left-wing opposition because they fear that any change is meant to eliminate it.
