Don't get me wrong, thanks for posting the chart.

It certainly presents an interesting premise ...

Just that as an analytical guy, who's reasonably aware of the data that's publicly available regarding futures, the chart doesn't pass the sniff test.

Futures are definitely zero sum .... and the COT data is the only data source that I am aware that pretends to provide an indication of who's positioned where. And a review of current COT for the mini S&P doesn't really show anything extraordinary. So then it makes you wonder who - and then why - some entity would publish such an article with such sketchy explanation regarding it basis.

On a different note, I'm finding the weakness in the metals this morning rather alarming since equities and metals seem to have been moving in lockstep. Unless the metals recover quickly, it might be a good idea to take advantage of this mornings equity rally and head to the side lines with equities.

Just a thought ...
