Listen you were the one that said "doesn't that strike as a little too convienent", which more than implies deliberate tampering. Now you are backing off that claim?

And I'm sorry this isn't your little group of rookies taking on a new little project, this is the worlds best economists using the best statistical methods with huge samples. Is there a margin of error, sure. We're still human.

Simple question: if the unemployment rate had gone way up would you be screaming "bull shit!" No, you'd be saying "I told you so".

So the honest answer is you don't care at all about numbers, you only care about your bias. You are so emotionally invested in the failure idea that you can't accept contradictory information. Very unprofessional for someone that analyzes data for a living.

For your edification:

PS I had NO preconceived notion of what the numbers would be. I was surprised they were so good,
And I'll be recalibrating what I think is going on. As I would if they had been terrible.
