I refuted the 79% awhile ago on PfP so I had the info and just needed to collect it again. Anyone can look at a GM chart from July 1 and see that the fear peaked about the time of the false 79% stories. Or, review auto sales generally since then. AutoNation AN also hit an all-time high today. Romney and Republicans have placed their bet on Romney being the savior from the Obama calamity.
