I can make your house increase in value. Tell me the price you paid and I'll offer to pay twice the amount. Voila! Then if the Fed gives me use of their printing press, I can do that for all your neighbors as well. Then I can do it for everyone in the country. When I then go on to give everyone a couple million dollars each, then we're all rich. Does this sound like a good path to prosperity to you? And do you think the price of the goods all around you will have stayed the same, so that every American can be a millionaire with the millions I've handed out?
