Ballantyne of Omaha Shares to Trade on the New York Stock Exchange on
December 5th

OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1997--Ballantyne of Omaha, Inc.
(AMEX: BTN - news) today announced that its shares will begin trading on
the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on December 5th under the symbol
''BTN.''
