Neither Ryan nor Romney is going to be surprised by any amount of lying from Biden or Obama. They are telegraphing their plan to keep on lying while yelling "Liar, liar, pants on fire" no matter what Romney says. Romney denied that he planned a "$5 Trillion Tax Cut for the Rich" three times in the debate. But Obama is running ads on it anyway. Anybody else notice how strange it is for a politician to be claiming the other guy wants to cut taxes? But Obama is playing envy politics again.

I think Ryan's task is to keep Biden on edge and off balance. My surmise is that Ryan will just be Ryan, and spin out confident facts and figures, with some arithmetic on the fly, which is his normal style. Biden is too slow-witted to be able to comprehend Ryan in real-time, so he will have to guess at what Ryan said in order to pick out a response that isn't too much of a non-sequitur. This will make Biden seem slow and hesitant.
