"I've been loading up on utilities in the northeast.( expecting a cold winter, therefore good year over year results ) "

Curious, I haven't really followed the relationship between winter heating (cold winter) and utilities . I wouldn't expect heating or winter to greatly effect electric utilities as not to many heat with electric anymore. I would also expect bad winter weather(ice storm damage etc.) to negatively impact earnings. So what have you been buying as far as NE utilities? What do you think of SPH or APU as "heating" utility plays?

SPH & APU has been buying everything in sight around here. While there are lots of mom and pop propane shop names, when you look into who really owns them behind the scenes it is the big propane limited partnerships.(looks like June was the time to buy- still 7%+ yields though)
