Talking about diets and organic vs. non organic.

At the HEALTH store the other day two sweet potatoes..... nice size and organic... $ 2.50 . Two organic
McIntosh Apples $ 2.50

At the local grocery Ingles as a matter of name, an entire bag of McIntosh $ 2.50

I loved the sweet potatoes but is it necessary to eat ORGANIC ? I think salads, yes but I question the other things. When I was teaching I ate one apple every day for lunch at my desk. THAT was all I ate.
Of course then I was eating a dinner at 7 pm...

Since I exist on two meals a day now I eat my meals at 1.30 pm..

Since I have stopped eating those apples I have read and or heard that apples are sprayed with insecticides
and only organic apples should be eaten. I never peeled my apples just bit into them so I must have stored a great many insecticides... Right ?

Opinions appreciated.
