Kate — The childish contents of the Big Bird ad aside, what should be especially worrying for Obama’s supporters is that the president and his team of writers and aides have had almost a week to distill l’esprit d’escalier, and they’ve elected primarily to respond to Romney’s aside about PBS. It’s enough to encourage a full meltdown.
