Bernanke is a Republican too, if I remember correctly. That doesn't matter. There are two types of Republicans when it comes to fiscal and monetary policies. There are the fiscal and monetary liberals, which is what Greenspan and Bernanke, and the whole Congressional GOP crew today. But then there are the fiscal and monetary conservatives: Bush Sr, Gingrich, Volcker, Libertarians like Ron Paul. I count myself a fiscal and monetary conservative and I believe Austrian economics best describe the world we live in. I may vote on both sides of the aisle, but when it comes to economics, I'm always a conservative.
