Hi PAL, Personally I would be very cautious about shorting QCOM over the next couple of months. During this time period, which will encompass the release of the December quarter results (hopefully with very strong Christmas sales!) and the Superbowl at Qualcomm stadium, I think the profile of the company will become significantly higher, and I see the possibility therefore for some real jumps up in the share price. In the past I have tried to make money a couple of times by buying puts when I thought it was headed down, but I have not been successful--whereas I have been able to make money by buying the shares when I thought they were headed up :-) ==John
