I buy the Breakfast Essentials on Amazon for half what it costs in the store and with free shipping.

Shake Recipe

For 2 servings:

2 pkgs Breakfast Essentials
multi-vitamin(s) crushed - your choice and optional
2-3 tbsp of a fiber product like Metamucil
2-4 tbsp smoothie mix (Honeyville make some good ones)
1-2 tbsp thickener; optional
1-2 cups Greek style yogurt
ice; see directions
1 qt milk; more or less
8 pkts Splenda

Put everything but the ice and milk in a large blender - ours is one of those old Ninja blenders with several levels of blades.

Put 1/3 the ice and 1/2 the milk as the blender may hold and blend without overflowing. Blend for 30 seconds or so.

Pour half into a large plastic cup and add half the remaining ice and half the remaining milk. Blend another 30 seconds or so. Pour this into 8 oz drink bottles like Ensure comes in. Save that in the fridge and use to take medications.

Pour remaining previously blended mix in the cup back into the blender and add rest of ice and milk. Blend for 30 seconds or so. Pour into 2 cups (one can be the one used previously for the mix) and enjoy.

You can skip the smoothie mix and optionally add flavorings and/or extracts. Or use them both.

I have been holding back on the smoothie mix because it adds extra sugar and I need to cut back on it.

Enjoy... and if you add some salt you can turn it into a drink reportedly from India called a Lassi. But we get too much salt as it is, IMHO.

And you can use liquid milk made from powdered dry milk and not tell the difference... at least I can't.
