Yes, you've very well noted solar wind events and derivative points.

In the link below...solar wind that just hit is is from coronal hole on lower right of sun. There is another coronal hole to the lower central-left. Also note strong sunspot coming around the bend on upper equatorial region on left hand side of sun...lets hope for some earth-directed CME's (only to accelerate things up!).

I don't know how strong wind is in the other coronal hole...we may find out this afternoon.

On a weather note: I always say solar impacts cause high over California to break down...allowing low-pressure storms to drop along the coast and move through southern Cali/Nevada and Arizona before dragging up some (relatively) warm air in midwest and east coast. A low is dropping down to So-Cal right now...I've observed these storms seem to have wicked lightning and thunder that crackles more than usual.
